I have vents that are larger than the ones available from flair: 5.5x14. I'm wondering if anybody has dealt with this problem and can share their solutions? Are adapter solutions to cover the differences available?

Thanks. My understanding is that while flair can use ecobee room sensors, ecobee cannot use Pucks as room sensors -- one way relationship.

I think this article answers one of my questions: I already have ecobee Remote Sensors. Do I still need to use a Puck?

I've been deliberating whether to invest in Nest or Ecobee with respect to your smart vents. I've noted that your smart vents don't yet communicate with Nest room sensor due to lack of open API...

What I'm really trying to find out is if the Puck can be used as a stand-in for an Ecobee room sensor, or do I always need a Puck and an ecobee room sensor in the same room? Or to phrase it another way...

In addition, both the puck and the vent unit should try to be more persistent about the connection and be smart enough to attempt reconnection or reset itself.
