Sensor Puck Troubleshooting

Sensor Pucks go offline for two reasons:

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Ensure Sensor Pucks and Smart Vents are in range of the Bridge during discovery. A distance of about 10 feet is recommended. Once discovered, Sensor Pucks and Smart Vents can be moved.

  2. If you are integrating a smart thermostat with Flair, you'll be asked to log into your smart thermostat account to grant permission to Flair to access your thermostat(s). If you're not seeing your thermostat...

  3. Switch a Bridge from WiFi to Ethernet: Plug an Ethernet cable into the Bridge and then into your network device (typically a router, access point, or switch). Once connected, the Bridge will begin using Ethernet.

  4. If you wish to power your Flair Bridge via POE (power over ethernet) instead of using a typical 110V socket, you'll need a POE splitter, like the one below. You can purchase one on Amazon here.

  5. When adding a Bridge, if Sensor Pucks or Smart Vents go offline, try the following:

    • Perform an "Unlink Gateway" for all Sensor Pucks: Push the Sensor Puck to enter the menus, rotate to "Settings"...
