**For central HVAC systems with ductwork: A Bridge is** **required** **.**
Every **new** Flair home using Smart Vents requires a Bridge to serve as the central networking device. A centrally located Bridge covers ~2,500 sq ft homes. Layout and building materials impact range. Additional Bridges can be added to increase range.
**For mini splits/ductless heat pumps: A Bridge is** **recommended** **.**
Want your Puck to be fully wireless? You need a Bridge. Comfortable with a wired connection? You don't need a Bridge.
If you're using Flair Pucks to run multiple head units, we recommend integrating a Bridge into your system for expedited setup and enhanced connectivity.

I thought the old way Flair worked with thermostats being able to be in bridge mode was cool, but honestly, the bridge is just better. It's range easily covers our entire 3 story house and it's been very stable. The transition from the puck bridge to the dedicated bridge took less than 5 minutes. All I had to do was go to my 2 puck bridges and set them as sensors. Everything just worked which I appreciated!

We have four Pucks in our home and three were wired for connectivity reasons - they were sitting on tables using the kickstand.
Now with the Bridge, all our Pucks are wireless and look way better! We also repositioned them (since wires aren't a concern) and they look great on our walls.
Adding the Bridge to our system was really simple. The app guided us through the steps and within minutes we were done.
I love my Flair system. It gives me peace of mind knowing our nursery is no longer so much warmer than the rest of the house. I have 7 smart vents, 2 Flair Pucks, and other remote sensors from the manufacturer of our smart thermostat installed. The 2 Flair Pucks could not communicate with the thermostat unless they were each set up as gateway and plugged into the wall. I added the bridge, and now they all connect wirelessly and seamlessly with the system. I highly recommend the bridge. It's a great addition to a system when you need to connect multiple pucks.

We have 11 flair vents in our home and they were connected through the flair pucks (gateway mode), the vents work great but the signal was weak with some of the vents. The bridge has greatly improved the connectivity and solved the problem of weak signal. It was very easy to set up the bridge (2 minutes or so) and then the bridge went into network repair mode for about 30 mins and automatically found and connected all vents and pucks. Super easy.

The bridge was easy to install. I used it to replace my gateway puck. The bridge works so much better than the gateway puck, probably because it uses a larger omnidirectional antenna instead of a smaller directional antenna. I'm still building my system and have four vents installed on two floors in my house. The bridge improved the vent RSSI signal strength by 3 to 22 dB. On a side note, I found out that rotating the vents by 180 degrees can make up to a 10 dB difference in their RSSI.

I've been using an 9 vent Flair system for the past 6 months with it linked to an Ecobee thermostat and Home Assistant. I bought the Bridge to improve stability as one of my vents intermittently would alert for poor signal. I also wanted to get the Puck out of an inconvenient location due to it's need for a power outlet while acting as the vent controller on my "old" Flair setup. Install was easy with clear, easy to follow directions in the app. A couple of minutes later all my vents had migrated over to the new Bridge and they're working great. In the week it has been installed I haven't had to think about it, and that's the best review I can give for something like this! While I dislike the Flair system being reliant on cloud connectivity and would prefer it have a local access option it's been working well with my Home Assistant setup and didn't require any new configuration in HA to support the new Bridge.
